L.I.V.E. is hosting its 7th annual L.I.V.E. Golf Classic on April 27, 2023. This event has proven to be a fun event filled with food, golf, and exciting prizes and gifts while raising funds to support great programs in our community. Through its past events, L.I.V.E. has raised more than $260,000 in support of incredible programs like the WOW Center, Camp Erin, CARE Elementary School, Live Like Bella and Sebastian Strong. L.I.V.E. is proud to announce that the 2023 7th annual L.I.V.E. Golf Classic will benefit Kristi House Project GOLD.

The Mission of LIVE: Lead, Innovate, Volunteer & Empower, Inc. is to impact and improve the quality of life of the members of our community through leadership as volunteers, educators, and innovators. Our entrepreneurial approach allows us to work with many organizations and affect many worthy causes. Our team works tirelessly to engage members of our community to make a positive impact in the lives of our fellow community members.
L.I.V.E. is a nonprofit organization that is 100% board-driven and committed to making a difference in our local community. We recognize that the best way we can make a difference is by partnering with local nonprofits whose programs are directly impacting the lives of others. We do this through event-based fundraising, and 100% of the proceeds are given to the partner-charity for specific programs that align with the mission of L.I.V.E.
- 2016 Bet on the Future Game Night & Annual Golf Classic raised more than $150,000 for the benefit of Camp Erin, a free bereavement camp for children, to created an endowment helping to fund one additional camp every year, forever.
- 2018 Bet on the Future & Annual Golf Classic raised more than $50,000 for the benefit of childhood cancer research and support programs through Live Like Bella and Sebastian Strong.
- 2019 Bet on the Future & Annual Golf Classic raised more than $60,000 for the benefit of CARE Elementary School, an incredible school in Overtown.
- In 2021, LIVE hosted its Annual Golf Classic to benefit the WOW Center– a center that offers support, guidance and encouragement to adults with developmental disabilities helping them to become more independent. LIVE provided the WOW Center with more than $60,000 for their music therapy program and other program needs.

Aida Nolan Rodriguez
Specializing in Healthcare Real Estate Aida Nolan-Rodriguez serves as Principal with Lee & Associates South Florida with an expert focus in Healthcare real estate servicing a niche of physician groups, healthcare professionals, and diagnostic/imaging centers.
With over 26 years of experience in the Real Estate industry, Mrs. Nolan-Rodriguez’s specialty involves working closely with developers in the implementation, design, marketing, and sales of new medical and professional office condominium projects. Her expertise is as well enhanced with the trading of existing medical or commercial investment properties. Her strong communication and networking skills are key attributes leading to her continued success in the industry and outstanding professional reputation.
Prior to joining Lee & Associates, Aida Nolan-Rodriguez operated RealMed Properties, which she established in 2009, specializing in Healthcare real estate. Her career history also includes a former position as Director of Sales & Leasing with Kenneth Weston & Associates, a boutique Healthcare real estate brokerage firm where Aida was charged with leading the sales, development and marketing divisions for the medical and professional office projects.
Prior to Kenneth Weston & Associates, she was a Project Representative with the City of Miami’s Asset Management department, Real Estate division. In this role, she played a key part in the development of major City real estate projects and overall development, most notably, Watson Island, Brickell Key and Grove Key. Aida Nolan-Rodriguez is a graduate of Florida International University with a Bachelor of Business Administration – Marketing. She joined LIVE to be part of this great organization and take part in giving back to the community in 2019.
Katie Blanco Bourdeau
Katie Blanco Bourdeau, J.D., CFRE is the Chief Development Officer, Cabinet Secretary of Stewardship & Development for the Archdiocese of Miami, President of the Archdiocese of Miami Development Corporation and Executive Director of the Catholic Community Foundation. Katie’s responsibilities, across the three-county archdiocese, serving more than 1.2 million Catholics, include all phases of development, fundraising, stewardship programs, major gifts, planned giving, community relations and external affairs. In her roles, she works directly with the Archbishop and the executive leadership at the Archdiocese, and is responsible for:
– Overseeing the Catholic Community Foundation which manages the more than 350 million endowment; – Managing the Archbishop’s Charities and Development Drive (ABCD), the archdiocesan annual campaign; – Major gift fundraising for the Archbishop’s funding priorities; – Managing the external relations and community presence of the Archbishop; – Serving as a consultant to 107 parishes, 65 schools and several archdiocesan entities in their development efforts; and more.
Through strategic and innovative approaches, she has increased the annual campaign from $7 million to over $13 million, raises more than $20 million in special projects annually, and under her leadership, has grown the endowment from $112 million to more than $350 million. Moreover, she has elevated the presence of the Archdiocese and the Archbishop in the community and hosts more than 30 events each year that raise significant revenues and visibility for the Church. Under her leadership, she has brought the cost of fundraising down to an unprecedented $.034 for every dollar raised which is far below industry standards.
In addition to her role at the Archdiocese, Katie also serves as the Board Chair for L.I.V.E.: Lead, Innovate, Volunteer & Empower, a local nonprofit whose mission is to improve the quality of life of others. She also active with several other nonprofit organizations in our community serving on several boards, host committees and contributing philanthropically. She received her Juris Doctorate from Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad Law Center and her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Miami.
Katie and her husband, Matt, live in Miami. She has two children, Olivia and Kellen, who attend Epiphany Catholic School and Belen Jesuit Preparatory School.

Michael J. Pujol
Michael J Pujol, is a proven professional, motivated by meaningful work that gives life purpose and connects us to something bigger than ourselves. He is a dedicated life-long learner with natural customer focus and unusually strong drive for results. “I am a proud son of two Pedro Pan Cuban immigrants. I am grateful for this blessed country, state, and for the 305…it’s my duty to provide back to whom much was provided. The purpose of life is to discover our gift. The meaning of life is to give our gift away”.
Michael J Pujol, has over 18 years of educational technology sales industry experience. Has served in multiple positions at the local, state, and national levels. Michael started his career in public education as a teacher and school site administrator. “Education is the key to unlock a change in the world”
Michael has a Masters in School Administration from Nova Southeastern University (Miami, FL) and Bachelor Degree in Secondary Education from Florida International University (Miami, FL). He and his wife are proud parents of two children who currently attend Catholic high school.

Gustavo J. Vega

Gus has over 22 years of financial industry experience and has been an independent practitioner for 18 of those years. As a result, he has a lot of hands-on experience with navigating all types of market conditions, including the volatile markets he guided his clients through: the tech bubble in 1999-2002, the Great Recession in 2007-2009 and the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.
“I am well aware that no one knows what will happen next. I don’t try to be a prognosticator of financial markets,” said Gus. “I do not invest clients’ money in cookie-cutter portfolios. I have a sell discipline designed to help preserve wealth and be ready to take advantage of potentially better prices to invest.”

Active in the community, Gus is co-founder of L.I.V.E. (Lead Innovate Volunteer Empower), a board member of CARE Elementary, a member of the University of Miami Citizens Board, and a member of the Professional Advisor Network for The Miami Foundation.
Gus was born and raised in Miami, and lives here today with his wife, Raquel – who also works at the firm. They have three children, Gaby, Gus and Dani. In his free time, Gus enjoys playing golf and organizing golf outings for friends and charity.

Mike Causadias

Raul Hernandez
Raul has had the great blessing to live the American dream! He came to the US as from Colombia at the age of 2. Watching his educated parents do whatever it took to survive imbued a work ethic that set the foundation of his later success. Undocumented until the age of 21, Raul learned perseverance and the importance of learning the rules of the game. Despite having poor grade in high-school he attended Miami-Dade College and Florida International University and graduated Magna Cum Lade from both.
After College, he joined a small Pharmaceutical company Novis Pharmaceuticals that was later acquired by Cardinal Health. The nine years spent at Novis gave him the experience and expertise necessary to launch his own consulting firm, Global Sourcing Initiative, in 2012. At GSI, he and his team serve the Veterans Administration, the Department of Defense, Health and Human Services and Dozens of Private hospitals. They also specialize in early stage drug development working with some of the largest and most innovative Pharmaceutical companies in the World. They recently began an initiative to help EMS departments across the country cope with the many supply shortages caused Covid 19.
Raul is the Proud father of Arianna and Diego and husband to his Queen Diana. An Avid Outdoorsman, passionate about conservation of our natural resources so that our children’s Children can enjoy them. He is most happy when in the woods or under the oceans surface. Raul has been an active in many organizations and community projects since his high school days. Serving those in need has always been a Pilar in his life. He is a proud member of Christ Journey in Coral Gables and always ready and willing to give back to his community.

David Barbeito
David G. Barbeito, CPA, is a Managing Partner at De La Hoz, Perez & Barbeito, PLLC. David heads up the firm’s assurance practice, which includes audits, reviews, compilations and transaction due diligence.
With more than 15 years of experience in audit and assurance, he has extensive experience providing auditing and consulting services to companies in various industries including wholesale/distributors, hotels, healthcare companies, professional sports franchises and finance companies.
David has also been involved in the preparation of income tax returns for his clients and has recommended and implemented tax saving strategies such as LIFO elections and creations of IC-DISCs.
David holds a masters and bachelor’s degree in accounting from Florida International University and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is also active in a number of local groups including the American Diabetes Association, Americans for Immigration Justice and the United Way.
Prior to joining De La Hoz, Perez & Barbeito, PLLC, David was with Morrison, Brown, Argiz & Farra, LLC, where he was the principal-in-charge of the audit department and led the middle market audit group.

Matthew Elliot
Matthew Elliott has dedicated his career to providing an unwavering commitment to his clients.
